These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("you" or "your") and OnRoute Labs ("OnRoute," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the OnRoute mobile application (the "App") and any related services (collectively, the "Services").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
OnRoute Labs is the operating name used by Aswin Madollathil, an individual operating a mobile application business based in India. These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to use the App. If you are between thirteen and seventeen, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the App you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
The App is not intended for use by anyone subject to a jurisdiction in which the App is prohibited. You are responsible for complying with your local laws.
The App does not require a traditional account. Your identity within the App consists of a display name and preferences you set on your device. We do not currently authenticate or verify user identities; treat any information shared with you by another user accordingly.
You are responsible for safeguarding any share codes, convoy codes, or other identifiers the App generates for you. Do not share these with anyone you do not trust to view or contribute to the underlying trip.
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose: planning and navigating road trips and related activities. You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms.
The App provides navigation and route information for general planning purposes. This information is provided on an "as-is" basis and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.
You are solely responsible for verifying the safety, legality, and appropriateness of any route, stop, or recommendation. Always follow local traffic laws, official signage, and your own judgment.
The App allows you to share trips with other users via share codes and to coordinate with other vehicles via convoy codes. By using these features, you agree that:
You may revoke a shared trip or leave a convoy at any time, but information already viewed or downloaded by other participants may continue to exist outside our control.
The App offers an optional paid subscription ("Pro") that unlocks additional features (such as unlimited voice co-pilot queries, AI Trip Designer, and Co-Driver Mode). The current pricing, billing cycle, and feature list are shown in the App at the point of purchase.
Pro subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. By purchasing a subscription, you authorise Apple to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Your subscription will renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least twenty-four (24) hours before the renewal date. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
If we offer a free trial, the terms of the trial will be shown at purchase. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the trial will automatically convert into a paid subscription.
Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their policy. We do not directly process refunds for App Store subscriptions. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
We may change the features included in Pro, or the price of new Pro subscriptions, with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will not have their price increased mid-billing-period; any price change will apply only at the next renewal and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the change takes effect.
The App contains affiliate links to third-party services including Amazon, Booking.com (via Commission Junction), and GetYourGuide. When you tap an affiliate link and complete a qualifying action on the partner's site, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This is disclosed in the App's Settings → About panel as required by the affiliate programmes' policies.
Tapping an affiliate link does not impose any obligation on you. The third-party site's terms of service and privacy policy govern your interactions with them. We do not control and are not responsible for the products, prices, accuracy, or availability of items offered by these third parties.
The App, including its software, design, graphics, text, audio, and other content (excluding user-contributed content and third-party content), is owned by OnRoute Labs and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent.
"OnRoute" and the OnRoute logo are trademarks of OnRoute Labs. You may not use these without our prior written consent.
You retain all rights to the content you contribute through the App (trip details, names, expenses, free-text checklist items, feedback messages). By contributing content, you grant OnRoute Labs a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and display that content as necessary to operate the Services.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to contribute the content you provide and that the content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.
We do not pre-screen user content but reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to other users or to the Services.
The App integrates with and depends on third-party services including but not limited to Google (Maps, Places, Routes, Gemini), Apple (App Store, RevenueCat), Resend, Commission Junction, Amazon Associates, and GetYourGuide. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behaviour of third-party services.
THE APP AND THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ONROUTE LABS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information provided by the App, including but not limited to routes, places, and voice co-pilot responses.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ONROUTE LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP OR THE SERVICES.
This includes, without limitation, any damages arising from:
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the App shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for Pro subscriptions in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred Indian Rupees (₹100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OnRoute Labs and Aswin Madollathil from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the App or the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right; (d) any content you contribute through the App.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or the Services, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or if we cease offering the App.
Upon termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, and 18) will continue to apply.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We may also modify these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you in the App and update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Before initiating any formal proceeding, the parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute through written correspondence to [email protected].
The App is operated from India. If you access the App from another country, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws to the extent local laws apply.
If you are an EEA or UK consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer that cannot be waived by contract.
To the extent the App is licensed to you through the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply. Apple is not a party to these Terms but is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce them against you.
